How would you change the human race?

How would you change the human race?
By now I’m sure most of you have seen the video on fb of Sir David Attenborough addressing the world leaders at the UN Climate Change Conference, demanding they step up and take immediate action or the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon. It’s scary to think about really, when you realise how much really has to change in order to save our planet. But what’s even scarier is how this topic is even still up for debate (I’m looking at you Trump…)

We currently have routines and habits that have been ingrained into us over many years. Yep we save time, our lives are pretty comfortable, and we’re busy busy so convenience is everything (and no judgment here! I’m aware but I still contribute daily to the system I hate)…. But it has got me thinking… what if it wasn’t like this? What if the human race had considered nature in its blueprint, and ultimately, considered us?

I would love to ask, if you could change one or two things about the way we live our lives, what would it be?

I think for me, I would firstly remove all plastic. All of it. Don’t give us a choice. If it’s there, we will use it. Plastic bags, wrappers, containers, single use cutlery – all gone.

And secondly, I would change the media. No more advertising food that makes us sick. No more TV shows that get into our psyche and change the way we think and act. I would like ‘real’ education to be free and readily available. I would like us to have no choice but to learn what humans, animals and plants need to truly THRIVE. Truths exposed, and solutions provided. Not just in docos, but on mainstream television. Every. Single. Day. No more confusion about what is and isn’t good for you. And much, much less drama.

What do you think? If you could change one thing about our society, what would it be?
